It's now March and we're only 2 days away from George being a month old. I was hoping he'd be potty trained by now but I think it'll still be awhile.
The Grandparents Snowberger arrived on Friday, February 22nd and we had a great week kicking it at the house and staring at George. He was so excited to meet his Grandparents he couldn't stop peeing his pants all week. At least I think that's what caused it. Now that I think about it though, he's still doing it and they've been gone a little while now. Oh well.
Grandma Sharon and George meet for the first time
Grandpa Doug and George get acquainted
We spent most of the time not doing much. I worked a bit and Grandma and Grandpa did get out a couple of times for lunch and to explore a bit. We ate donuts, made oatmeal, made other meals, drank coffee and Keystone Light, made dinners, ate dinners made for us, entertained several friends, were entertained by friends, watched Sabres games, read the newspaper(very important part of Grandpa's day), survived snow storms, and enjoyed sunny days. We did get out of the house for the first time(not counting the doctor visit) for dinner over at Paul and Emily's house. Paul's mother, Marsha, was in town and George was eager to meet her. Overall, I think a very relaxing vacation for them. I got the feeling that seeing and hanging with George was the only goal anyhow. The outcome of the Daytona 500 was certainly not the desired one but George won the money as we all put in $5, picked a driver, and the best finish won. He was given Danica by default and she came in 3rd. Not bad for his first gambling experience. Horses are next.
We watched the Oscars that night and filled out ballots with a pick for each category. Doug won that. It was too much work for George to enter and he hasn't seen any of the movies. There's always next year. Saying goodbye is never easy but it won't be long until George see's his Grandparent's again. There's already plans for another visit, maybe summertime, and JetBlue is throwing in a voucher for some money off of their next flight due their inconveniences on the way out.
Here are some videos so you can hear him cry and make some noises too!
First video is a bath(I think his first)
Second Video is him hanging out on the floor. It was tummy time and he actually rolled over twice! Pretty crazy, not sure if the bulky cloth diapers helped the roll or if he did it on his own?? I think the former.
Relaxing

Grandma and Grandpa Snowberger left on Thursday morning and were missed immediately by all!
Thursday and Friday continues as normal with a little more fussiness from George. I think we're figuring out it's gas. If we burp him all the time, it seems to be much better for everyone. I didn't think MY son would need help releasing gas but he does. I'll teach him it's not that hard...and it's always funny no matter how old you get!
Saturday morning our friends Jill, Derek, and(their just about 5 month old)Zia came to visit. It was Zia and George's first time meeting and I know they're going to have many good times together.
Me and Zia/Derek and George(an NL West battle, Go Rockies!)
They hung out all Saturday and were back on the road Sunday afternoon. Some other friends visited as well and it was a fun filled weekend. Sunny and warm too. Shorts and flip flops on Sunday and a few inches of snow on Monday...such is life in Colorado.
